Spreading Yourself Too Thin While Trying to Make Money On The Internet Can Leave You Broke
When you first start learning about how to make money on the internet, temptation can take over and send you to a lot of dark places on the net. For example, you are probably getting bombarded with information about how you can virtually make money overnight.
You see pictures of some guy laying on the beach; he’s all relaxed and sipping on a drink. And all you’ve got to do to be like him is buy ‘XYZ product’ and just push the button. And boom! Money is falling from the sky..ha ha! That is some funny stuff.
I mean if money is going to fall outta the sky on you, why does it always have to involve you giving it away first? Hey, greed can some times get the best of us. The trick is to not give in to EVERY temptation that you THINK will end with overnight success.
Seriously though, do you really think that you can make money on the internet by tomorrow night if you still don’t know what the left and right buttons on your mouse do? Do you really think that success is waiting for you on the other side of the door ‘instantly’ if when I say words like FTP, upload, download, hosting, registrar and domain name they just draw a blank for you?
Straight to the point here…You have to master some basic skills before you can move to the more advanced methods.
That’s one of the tricks I’ve seen. They sell something to you that potentially could work, but you just haven’t crafted enough skills and experience to have the first clue as to what to do.
There are so many different ways to make money on the internet that you can get caught up jumping into too many different things and wind up not making a dime. Setting up and running an internet business itself can be challenging, and with the added pressure of the ‘learning curve’ you will definitely have a lot on your plate.
Master It, Make Money And Then Move On….
That way you will have at least recouped your investment.
The more internet business ventures you get into without mastering each one, or at least getting a very clear understanding of what its about, the more chances you have of spreading yourself too thin and slowing down or even completely halting your progress.
It’s just like when you were a baby. You had to learn how to roll over first, then you crawled, then you walked, and then you ran. Could you imagine a baby trying to run without having learned to even roll over yet? The baby still has other things to learn while he’s preparing himself to start running. He has to learn how to hold his head up, how to control his limbs, how to hold his bottle, and how to communicate.
It will be the same with your business. You have a lot to learn and juggle so start with just one or two streams of income. Master those first, get a good automatic income stream going, and then add more.

Internet Marketing Information-Should I Pay If It’s Free?
Very good question. Why should you pay for absolutely any internet marketing material that you can find for free? Well let’s think about this.
Why should you pay for information on how to write articles, or how to optimize your website, or how to do keyword research, or how to do niche marketing? You can just about find all the information you need on how to do all of this just by searching online and maybe visiting your local library.
Just Plain Lazy
But the thing is that you won’t do it. People are inherently lazy (and I am certainly including myself). It takes time and the knowledge of what to look for to find the answers. If you’ve never done it then how do you know what to look for? Well there is your second major hurdle. The first hurdle was just being lazy!
Your third major hurdle is that information will be gathered in bits and pieces so you will have to put it together like a puzzle. Even if you manage to finally put the puzzle together, how will you know what works and what doesn’t? Information changes quickly on the internet and unless you’ve found the information at one of the more frequently updated sites, there’s a possibility that it is already outdated.
Learning Curve Greatly Reduced
The reason that you pay for free information is that you are buying your way out of a learning curve. You are leaving the research and how to put the puzzle together up to someone else who already has experience on the subject.
So the next time you come across some information that you feel you should not pay for, because you can find the answers for free, think about all that you will have to do to make sense of anything you will find.
Insider Secrets
Usually when you purchase information products their will be some “insider information” included. This would be stuff that you probably would never have uncovered until you were well into the testing phase. You do test don’t you?
That’s another thing too, people don’t readily disclose their insider secrets for free. It will always be at a premium price. And think about it. Why should they? They’ve probably invested time and money into learning what they know, so why should they give it away to you.?
Now let me make this clear. I am not saying that you should pay for everything that comes bundled in a book because some people can sell you crap just to sell it. But what I am saying is to be open minded and flexible on the idea of paying for free information.
Make Money Online By Just Grabbing the Bull By Its Horns!
So you’re thinking about grabbing the bull by its horns and getting into internet marketing (a.k.a. make money online) thing?
Did you make the decision to quit your day job and rake in the big bucks? Be honest. It’s okay to think that way, but you’ve got to plan that way also.
Making money online is a lot of hard work
Huh? Yep a lot of long hard working hours. Yeah, Yeah, what about all that I’ve read about making money online and becoming an overnight success?
Well all I can tell you is that if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
Go with your gut instincts and let that guide you.
Listen, there IS success on the internet, just not the easy and fast way that you may have been hearing about.
In addition, its not a free ride either.
Making money online often requires more money than initially believed.
It seems with all the hype, people have forgotten that they are starting a real live business; and all businesses need “seed money” and “grow me” money.
It takes time to build and grow a business before it starts to pay you back for all the time and efforts you put into it. So you need to keep a little stash away for ongoing business expenses.
If you’re just starting out, you’ve got a lot to learn
You need to turn into a sponge and absorb as much knowledge as you can. And at the same time you need to filter out irrelevant information and build you a library of sorts of the most important and relevant material.
You should also look closely at the mistakes that others have made and freely write about.
Why should you look at somebody elses mistakes?
Because the trick is to avoid the same mistakes that others have made so you can cut time off of your learning curve.
I’m not saying that you’re not going to make mistakes because that is inevitable.
But what I am saying is that there is no sense in making the same mistakes as others, especially when they are telling you exactly what they are.
And as you go along you’ll make some different mistakes and you should keep note of those and the actions you took to correct it.
You know why?
Because it could be the making of your own special report or software to help people not make the same mistakes as you did.
People will pay for prevention, and the best part about this is that you will have first hand experience with this issue and can offer specific advice.
Another thing to do is to take a deep look at your competition. Your competition can reveal some holes that you can easily fill.
Don’t be afraid to even buy some products from them to see how well their stuff really is. Again you may see some glaring holes that can be your goldmine.
Sign up for their newsletter, go to their forums, read all that they have and learn as much as you can.
Remember, this is your business and not some hobby…well at least I am assuming this to be true.
So now it goes back to the age old adage:
Treat this like as a hobby and you will be rewarded like a hobby; Treat it like a business and you will be handsomely rewarded like a business!
Get Your Business Started Off on the Right Path
Many people come online with the intentions of making money under the guise of it being quick and easy, and are soon dismayed when the don’t see any results. My question to you is if business is business, let it be online or offline, what makes you think that you can just jump in with little to no preparation and simply make it work? If that were the case then everyone should be rich right? For some crazy reason, people really think that all they need is a PC and internet connection, that product that they bought and boom!….money is on its way.
Well I decided to write a book to give you the real, unedited ‘no hold barred’ process of how to properly build your “virtual” brick and mortar internet business. I dispel the hype and untruths about internet marketing so that you start on a level playing field and have a fair advantage.
You know that money can be made in this business, but not like it has been portrayed. Gone are the days of sticking up a website and the money floodgates open up to you.
People are leary and cautious of spending their money and being scammed. There’s a lot of competition and savvy consumers to contend with so you must be top of your game. There is so much information available to you out on the net so I didn’t regurgitate that same information to you.
I attempted to recommend resources that are free; however there were times when that could not be achieved. I have a personal and ethical rule to only recommended resources that I think are reliable either through my own personal experience or through highly regarded people I know in this business.

In addition, here is something that you might as well get out your head now. You will have to spend some money and don’t let anyone fill your head up with the idea that you don’t. How much I can’t say because I don’t know your personal goals.
But I assure you that by the time you finish reading this book you will have a very good idea.
